YEE SI is looking for more sustainable production. The process of leather tanning involves large amounts of water and chemicals to produce durable, quality leather used for our products. Our objectives include: reducing as much demand for virgin leather production as possible, reusing leather scraps diverted from landfills, establishing recycle programs to encourage people to donate used leather goods as raw materials for YEE SI handbags and last but not least, recover the harm done to the environment during rawhide tanning progresses. It is going to be a lengthy process, but a little comes a long way. We encourage researchers, companies and school labs with the knowledge on leather recycling or sustainable production to cooperate with us in order to create a sustainability conscious industry.
